GOOD GIRLS GO TO HEAVEN BUT BAD GIRLS GO EVERYWHERE

about half way through the season i thought it would be a neat idea to document how far i have travelled this season for whl games and other whl related events. the km's arent exactly correct to the specific location of the game or event, i just google mapped "current location to (city i went to)" and put those distances. the only section where i was specific was for the event section. i live about 30 minutes west of saskatoon, so thats why a few are pretty high.

SASKATOON BLADES: FEBRUARY & MARCH 2013

what a couple of months, wow. so the boys went undefeated in february. 18 straight wins, followed by a terrible third period/overtime in moose jaw, so that was the end of that. any one could argue that we played basement teams during our streak, which yeah, we got super lucky with the timing of our wins. we had 15 games in february, six being away games. the next couple on the edge episodes are gonna be pretty sweet whenever they air. although we didnt end up passing calgary in points (so we get bumped down to 3rd place after the first round), we did pass prince albert so we get to hang another banner at the opener next season!! march was kind of like any other month we've had. ups and downs, we won a couple thrillers in edmonton and vs regina. by the way i didnt end up going to edmonton or prince albert for the first game because my car was still impounded haha. astles played his first game back after missing FIFTY games due to his wrist injury. the boys finished up the regular season in prince albert, losing the first in overime and the second in a shootout.

back to medicine hat for playoffs! we won all four games vs them this season. lets hope that carries over and lets hope we DONT GET SWEPT AGAIN.

WHAT HAPPENS IN MOOSE JAW...

...ends up in a blog?
...will get you arrested?

soooo....last saturday me and my friend (tenesha) made our first trip together (of what will be many) to watch "our" edmonton oil kings play in moose jaw. we stopped about half way there for some roadbeers, and who do we see at the liquor board? former oil king jordan peddle... anyways, we got to moose jaw about an hour early like always, and parked about 50 feet from the bus. we decided to write notes (creepy i know) and leave them for the boys, but once we were walking past, the two security guys were on us like we just killed someone. so our plan didnt go through... we got inside and the first thing we did was put our sign (im not really a sign person, but we wanted to get rowdy) down by our seats and get some beer. we waited for warmies to start and went down to see the boys, we decided to put our little notes to use and stick a few of them on the glass with stick tape. a few of the boys (cough cough moroz) got a kick out of them. so the game started and i cant remember a whole lot after that, we annoyed a shit ton of fans in our section, rang the shit out of our cowbell, banged on the glass and were just obnoxious "albertans" the whole night. surprisingly security didnt come talk to us. cheek scored a couple, moroz and lazar got the other two. i do remember, st croix and cheek got second and third stars, and throwing the cowbell (and possibly our sign?) down at them after the game. after the game we went out and waited by the bus... their bus driver took a few pictures for us then i'm guessing we annoyed the shit out of the players when they were loading. all i remember is dancing and screaming shit to them. we then stalked our way to the gas station and waited for the boys inside there, with the windows down and country blaring. we followed them all the way back through saskatoon (and also creeped up beside them so teesh could stick her head out the window and point to my jersey...). we lost the boys in the middle of the city when they turned and we didnt. we then made the home stretch back to our town...we were about 20 minutes out (apparently) when i saw the lights chasing us... two beer in the console, shot glasses on the floor and a case in the back. i guess thatll get you "detained". i was put in the back and when i blew the big letter "F", i was officially under arrest. then someone got called a "fucking cunt" anddddddd then we were both headed to cells. half hour later we got to their detachment and started the long process of "blowing" and answering questions... "do you know any one on the team? did you see them?" fuck...longest 2.5 hours of my life waiting in there. in the end, i got a zero four and they didnt make us stay. at around 4:30am we got picked up and went home. good game anyways....
