MY FAVOURITE JAKE TRASK MEMORIES

well well well... i guess you could say its the "end of an era". i dont want to state the obvious in this post, but i will miss jake so much next season...and the next and the next etc. i never really thought i could like a player /that/ much, but obviously i was very wrong. i remember reading the star phoenix (newspaper) the monday after he got traded. i had no idea who he was at the time. i remember seeing a little picture of him along with an article about the trade. the first couple paragraphs were an interview and he said something like "i dont think my brother and sister will like sharing the house with me again" and i thought that was the cutest thing...plus, he looked (very) good looking in the picture. that was kind of where it all started. my very first tweet about him was "Trask scores!!!!!" on november 10th, 2010 at 7:42pm haha. i also tweeted this past summer that if the blades make it past the second round (.......) that i'd get his name tattooed on me, which i would honestly still do ha. but anyways, here is a list of (some) of my favourite jake moments/memories. i definitely will not post them all (even a few of the best, according to me) and some will be very stupid, i am betting. lets go.

1. my first trask jersey. i got it in the middle of last season, and got my friends friend (who used to work for the blades) to get him to sign it for me.

2. changing my "name" to bailey trask. near the end of november 2010, i changed my twitter handle. zero whl players were on twitter then, so i thought it was fine. i remember my first tweet with it being something like "haha i had to do it". i've even been called "trasker" by some friends, and i am sooo glad i did change it. i have gotten quite a few (awhile ago) tweets asking if i was "actually his wife" or sister...but if i was his sister, why would i be tweeting the stuff that i do?!

3. haters. this isnt  my favourite, obviously, but i will write about it anyways. people saying i only ike the blades because of jake (hahahahahahh), thinking braxton was actually my son and telling brax that jake was his real dad (wow), and of course....

4. stalker. again, not another favourite but i had alot of fun with this one... i hope people were joking when it comes to me stalking him, because i definitley was. i make jokes about it quite often. no, i have never stalked him (except maybe when he was suspended and i followed him around in the concourse at games haha) and would never even want to (well, maybe).

5. no hatty. not a favourite but i tweeted last season that jake has had SO many 2 goal games that he was bound to have a hat trick. nope. not one. ah oh well.

6. fight. he did it!! just not on home ice :( when jake fought tanner eberle on the 15th of february, i was in complete shock. im positive the "#FIGHTJAKEFIGHT" and "DONT RT IF YOU WANT JAKE TO FIGHT" tweets had nothing to do with it but i am SO glad he did! plus got the W, i would say :)

7. his warmup. i have it down. seeing jake stick handle down the red line during warmies really makes me happy, for some reason.

8. his interviews. on his blades player spotlight video, he has the EXACT same answer for 3 of 4 different questions. "being home, seeing everyone and playing infront of friends and family every night". #mixinanewanswer

9. ask a blade. i really wish the blades would post this seasons ask a blade videos, because they are JUST. SO. CUTE. his smile and laugh is just too perfect (am i getting soft?)

10. wikipedia. the millions of wiki pages i made for him that they kept on deleting.......

11. on the right trask. all the newspaper articles about him (i keep them all)... and especially the muzzy one and "TRASK MASTER"

12. my mom. that probably sounds a bit weird, but my mom is (not joking) a huge fan of his. she keeps telling me to talk to him so that we could date hahah. i didnt tweet this, but when booking my hotel for medicine hat she was like "why dont you just stay with jake trask??"

13. the sims. yes, i was obsessed with that game. i made me and jake into a family, built a house, and had "little jakeys/kiddies". creepy i know

14. tweets. its a no brainer i reeeeally like jake, eh? maybe i'll make a post of my favourites sometime... (like any of you care)

15. twitter. more specifically, when he got one. i vowed i would never follow him, but...oops. #hestartedit

16. dreams. my very weird dreams about him. i remember dreaming that my family were billeting him (weird, since he lives with his parents), and that him and my mom hated eachother. also other dreams about kids, marriage and him calling me a loser.

17. suspension. when jake got suspended on december 5th (2 games/checking to the head and gm), i honestly felt proud. ive always wanted him to be "rough" and this was when he hadnt gotten into his fight yet.


this is all im going to put now. theres some more but i would like to keep those to myself ha

MEDICINE HAT TRIP FOR GAMES 1 & 2

so on friday morning, we (blades fans) went down to medicine hat to see the boys play the tigers in games one and two. the bus trip was long and dreadful, by the time we hit swift current i was hurtin. but we made it into the hat and headed straight to the hotel to check in. once we did that, it took me what seemed like a year to find my hotel room. the instructions "turn right, up the three stairs then follow it down" were obviously incorrect. more like, "to the right, up the stairs, down the mile long hallway, to the left, to the right, threw the other hallway, in the pool room, up the stairs, to the right, to the right again, down the hall to the left, down the other hall, then your rooms on the right. 207." that was literally it. which i doubt any of you read that all. once we checked in, and got to our rooms, some of us went to eat (i didnt) and some just stayed at the hotel and got ready (i did...). once 6pm hit, we met in the lobby and took the bus to the arena. which blows. the concourse is so bad its impossible to move. so once warmies were done, we all (fans/sponsers/familes) took to section 23 where we set up camp. the first period rolled on by just fine, then the second came along and the tigers dominated. eight minutes killed us. WE SCORED TO MAKE IT 4-3 THEN BUNZ DECIDED THERE WAS A FUCKING HOLE IN THE NET THEN THEY CALLED IT OFF. if there was a hole in the net, then why didnt they fix it?!!! that right there wouldve been a game changer (obviously) if it wouldve counted but nope i guess not, there was a "hole in the net". they hit an empty net so we ended up losing 5-2. we (fans) then loaded up the bus, dropped some guys off at the casino then went back to the hotel. i decided to go work out in the fitness room, so i got ready but once i got down there, it was closed. so then i watched tv and at chips in my room... so saturday came and i went down for breakfast, then came back up to my room to pack up and get ready for the game. it was only like 10:30am but checkout was at 11. so i got ready, then took my stuff to the room we had reserved for late checkout. we all waited in there for about  1.5 hours and then loaded the bus and went to the mall. some people really just stare at you like your the devil or something, others were nice and even said they were cheering for the blades. after 3 hours at the mall, we all went across the parking lot to montana's and i crushed some wings.. great diet. after that was over and done with we headed to the rink, but we got there an hour before the doors opened. so we waited and waited and discussed next years 20 year olds... scares me. then at 630 we headed into the rink for game two and holy hell were we ever hated, more than the night before. i know im not the classiest of fans but jeez some of the tiger fans look like theyll rip your head off. but i walked around that shitty arena one last night wearing the blades logo proud and hoped for a better game. dietz got suspended (dont know how long yet) and apparently pufahl was out. but obviously not because he scored the first goal. the game started and it was such a better game that friday's. we were down 2-0 (WE CANT TAKE PENALTIES!!!!!) but then the boys battled back and we were up 3-2. then after they scored, we went into the 3rd tied. and of course, they scored with 5:15 remaining. then we took about 600 penalties from then on, and we lost. if we can lay off on the penalties, we would be A LOT better off (obviously). so after the game, we headed home. the fans really loved taunting us, even on the street when our bus rolled by. too bad those windows dont roll down... we made it to credit union centre at about 3:30am, with the blades bus right behind us. i had such a fun time, even though we lost. hopefully were back for a game five...or seven. GO BLADES GO!!!!

WHL PLAYOFFS: ROUND ONE

So the playoffs start tonight and I'm going to make my predictions. These aren't really "predictions", but more like a "biased who I want to win" opinion. Just a heads up. But I'm heading to medicine hat tomorrow for the first two Blades vs Tigers games. So excited! also I'm lazy so I'm only doing the eastern conference.

MOOSE JAW vs REGINA: I'll take the warriors in 5/6. Although I want Regina to win.

CALGARY vs BRANDON: Calgary in 7. Yeah I hate Brandon but they can be a powerhouse.

KOOTENAY vs EDMONTON: I'm saying edmonton in 6. Ya this is 8 vs 1 and a different season but they'll sweep ya if they can............. 😳🔫

SASKATOON vs MEDICINE HAT: blades in four!!!!!!!! Nah just kidding but I really think blades in 6. We won three of four in the regular season but 2 were either in a shootout or overtime, our other win and there's was a blowout for both. Should be a good time but worried about this one. We're not playing PA anymore...

SASKATOON BLADES, FEBRUARY & MARCH 2012

since there was only 2 (regular season) home games this month, i am going to do the two months together. there were 12 games in february, 7 at home. we ended up going 5 and 7. we played 9 games in march, with only 2 at home, due to the brier. we killed the raiders 11-5 on the 13th, and jake got 2 goals :) i'd love to see a hatty before his junior hockey career is over... the blades also played a big game in brandon on the 9th, winning 6-2. seems like just the other day i was at training camp and lukas sutter was thisclose to running me over.. season went by so fast, and even worse its jake's last season :( but i guess thats the way it is and i'll follow him (not literally, i think) where ever he plays after, hopefully not at some far away university. but i am excited for playoffs, obviously. just sad i'll have to miss the entire second round because i will be in germany/switzerland/italy. i am hoping we make it to the third round (obviously. the final would be even better). but i just want to see jake play his last WHL game, along with michael burns and jesse paradis. anyways, i'll be making a post for each round (hopefully the 2nd round as well, if i have time), with my predictions.
