SASKATOON BLADES HOME OPENER VS THE RAIDERS

ASDFGHJKL!! WHL HOCKEY IS FINALLLLLLY BACK! first regular season game was on friday, against (obviously) the prince albert raiders. the actual game started about 25 minutes late because of the opening ceremony and honouring brad mccrimmon and wade belak. the guys also raised 2 banners (east division champions and regular season, scotty munro memorial trophy) and also another in in memorial. midway through the first, the new guy jesse paradis went fivehole on eric williams. 1-0. so happy i/we dont have to deal with the diver jamie tucker. 5 minutes into the second, tyler yaworski scored to tie it up. then the blades (can i just say "we"?) scored 3 straight... goals came from jesse again, chris collins and brent benson. assists to josh nicholls, darren dietz (2) and jake. then the raiders scored 2 quick ones like 15 (not even) second apart. butttttt they ran out of time and the blades won 4-3 :) that was the first of a home and home, and the boys won again last night, 5-3. and if you read my tweets you should obviously know who scored..... ;)

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS VS EDMONTON OILERS

So last night the blackhawks were in town playing the oilers. of course half of the players no one has ever heard of before, but tazer was there so that was juuuuuust fine. seeing curtis play (most likely) his last game at CUC was super depressing. huge cheers for him when he got an assist. crowd was mostly pro-blackhawks but there were a ton of oilers jerseys too. also saw alot of penguins, flames, leafs, and canadiens. but the oilers won 4-2, so it ended sucky. f you eberle. except when you play for team canada.
blades home opener on friday!!

MAROON 5 & TRAIN

Sooooo! this is my Maroon 5 and Train blog. I have been to a million concerts and this was the best by farrrrr. So everyone who had meet & greet passes were escorted downstairs to wait for the band, we were down there for probably a good 25 minutes waiting for them. once they came, we all got in line to meet them in a little closed off/curtained area. everyone went in one at a time. so when you go in, you shake their hands and they sign whatever it is you want them to sign. you can chat for a little then you go behind them to get your picture taken (a photographer was there). then everyone got an extra signed picture. after that, i went back upstairs and down to my seat. the opening guy was Matt Nathanson (whoever that is) and he actually was not that bad. Maroon 5 was up next, and they opened with Moves Like Jagger and ended with She Will Be Loved. I am very surprised i did not pass out whenever Adam Levine looked at me in the eyes. After they were done, Train came out to the sounds of a train (duh). they opened with Parachute and closed with Drops of Jupiter (the best, i cried). I am basically just going to repeat what i said on twitter.... so about 3 songs in, the lead singer (Patrick) took my camera from my hand and took a pic of us... which was pretty sweet. then they kind of opened the gate/barrier in front of me a little bit, and they were bringing up girls to go on stage. i was looking behind me, and the girl beside me said "go, he wants you to go" so i turned around and i guess she was right.. so i hopped up on a video camera case and went on the stage. we got tshirts and then we sang and danced onstage for a good 3-4 minutes. then we were escored backstage and then back to our seats. it was superrrr sick. at the end of Drops of Jupiter, the drummer was about to throw out his sticks, so i reached my hand out and he tossed one to me :) so all in all, it was a amazing night. as you could probably tell from my tweets....
